4. Use of Vehicle

The Renter agrees:

• To use the vehicle only for lawful purposes.

• Not to sublease or allow unauthorized drivers to operate the vehicle.

• Not to use the vehicle for racing, towing (unless authorized), or illegal activities.

• Not to operate the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• To comply with all traffic laws and regulations.

5. Condition of Vehicle

The Renter acknowledges that the vehicle is received in good working condition, except as noted below:

6. Insurance and Liability

• The Renter must maintain valid auto insurance covering collision, comprehensive, and liability.

• Proof of insurance must be provided before taking possession of the vehicle.

• The Renter assumes full responsibility for loss or damage to the vehicle during the rental period.

• The Renter is liable for any third-party damages, fines, tolls, or penalties incurred during the rental period.

If insurance coverage is insufficient, the Renter remains personally liable for all damages.

 

7. Maintenance and Repairs

• The Renter shall be responsible for routine operational costs (fuel, parking, tolls).

• The Owner is responsible for major mechanical failures not caused by misuse.

• The Renter must immediately notify the Owner of any mechanical issues or accidents.

Unauthorized repairs will not be reimbursed unless approved in writing.

 

8. Accidents and Damage

In the event of an accident, theft, or damage, the Renter agrees to:

• Notify the Owner immediately.

• Contact law enforcement if required by law.

• Provide a written incident report.

Failure to report incidents may result in full financial liability.

 

9. Indemnification

The Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Owner from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from the Renter’s use or possession of the vehicle.

 

10. Termination

The Owner may terminate this Agreement immediately if:

• The Renter breaches any term of this Agreement.

• The vehicle is used unlawfully or recklessly.

• Payment obligations are not met.

Upon termination, the Renter must immediately return the vehicle.

 

11. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State/Country of __________________.

 

12. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Parties and supersedes all prior agreements. Any amendments must be in writing and signed by both Parties.
